Northern School of Writing Professor Jackie Kay has helped legendary BBC Radio 6 DJ’s Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie launch a day of poetry on BBC Radio 6 Music for National Poetry Day (October 3rd 2024). In an interview devoted to Jackie’s pioneering career, she talked about her latest poetry collection: May Day and her love of the great singer-songwriter Peggy Seeger, who received an honorary degree from The University of Salford.
