Northern School of Writing Lecturer Dr Caroline Magennis will be interviewing award-winning novelist Azako Yuzuki at The Manchester Literature Festival on Monday October 7th at 7.00pm at Waterstones Deansgate. Yuzuki’s novel Butter, has been an international bestseller and tells the story of a woman accused of luring men with her cooking and then killing them.

Alumni Naqqash Khalid sees first feature film released in UK cinemas

English Literature graduate Naqqash Khalid has received rave reviews for his debut feature film, out in UK cinemas on September 13th 2024. Naqqash wrote and directed the feature, which found funding from BBC Films and The BFI. Naqqash has also been commissioned to write a 4 part series for Sky.
