Media from the Northern School of Writing

Coming soon, this space will highlight the multimedia work of students and staff creating original content at The University of Salford.

We’ll be sharing features, podcasts and videos about the work taking place in our creative community, books and publishing in the north.

The Bat is a contemporary Hungarian play written by Kriszitina Toth and translated by Dr Szilvi Naray at The Northern School of Writing. We love this story about family life under the pressures of an autocratic state in Europe today because it documents a dangerous moment in the life of European democracy. Szilvi worked with students at the school to produce the play at The New Adelphi Theatre in 2023.
