Scarlett Lovette graduated with a BA Hons degree in English and Drama (now the Northern School English Multidiscipline Degree) and an MA in Contemporary Performance Practice. Her devised performance Pseudo was supported by the Arts Council and performed at The Lowry. Scarlett is a self-affirming “professional amateur”, poet, theatre-maker, musician, (and aspiring short-film maker), who uses their lived experiences, outreach, and research to inform systematic change. Their work is a sublime swirl of spooky and ethereal – divergent, minimal (DIY) yet striking. They have worked with HOME, Contact Theatre and Young Identity.
Scarlett’s work has taken form in a dynamic mixture of spaces; from gritty basements, old warehouses, and the streets of Manchester, to literary festivals, fancy theatre stages, and even on telly.
