Jo Somerset is a Manchester-based writer, and her first novel (for readers aged nine to ninety) Mission: Find Mum was published in 2024 by Stairwell Books. In 2020 she won the Leanne Bridgewater Award for Innovation and Experiment at Salford University, where she completed a MA in Creative Writing. Jo can be found every Tuesday morning at Chorlton Writers’ Café which she founded in 2022; the group produced their first anthology The Writers’ Table in 2024. She is a trustee for Manchester Literature Festival, and a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
