Northern Fiction Alliance
We want to support the independent spirit, bravery and originality of small publishers, who set cultural trends and discover new talent, shaping the conversation society has about itself. Wherever we can, The Northern School of Writing will lend its professional support.
The Northern Fiction Alliance was founded in 2016 by Comma Press and now includes twenty four small publishers in the North of England to share experience, create development opportunities, pool marketing effort, and disseminate information about support for publishing.
Small publishers are the lifeblood of literary culture. Very often, they do the job of research and development for large publishers without the resources and profit margins enjoyed by multinational corporations.
