As an academic, I have published articles on contemporary Irish writing with Oxford, Cambridge, Palgrave, Routledge and a host of journal publishers. My book, Northern Irish Writing After the Troubles (Bloomsbury, 2021) was the joint winner of the BACLS book prize and was exceptionally well-received in numerous reviews. I have hosted high-profile events for the Manchester Literature Festival and other literary readings across the city.
In May 2024, Icon Books will publish my first not entirely academic book, a blend of memoir and cultural criticism called Harpy: A Manifesto for Childfree Women. This will be published in Spanish with Planeta and my self-narrated audiobook is out with W.F. Howes. It has been featured in Stylist, Vogue, Marie Claire, The Sunday Times and the Irish Times and I have been invited to do a range of book clubs, podcasts, live radio and literary festivals this summer.
I have another creative thing cooking right now, but it’s not yet ready for public consumption.
