Working With Publishers

The Northern School of Writing provides a front door to publishers interested in working with The University of Salford. Our staff and students are open to exploring collaborations, research projects and partnerships. We know that Universities can appear complex and formidable organisations to work with, so we’re here to make it simple. If you are a publisher and you want to:

  • discover more about what our University courses teach and what students learn
  • find out whether you can access graduate skills and talent
  • Set live briefs relevant for your organisation for students to work on
  • Offer your paid services for talks or teaching
  • Develop research projects that could benefit your business
  • Enquire about using University facilities

Ajay Close: What Doesn’t Kill Us (Saraband)

Students in a recording studio

Publishing legends Saraband approached The Northern School of Writing with a quick turnaround need for an audiobook of Ajay Close’s thriller, What Doesn’t Kill Us. We were delighted to co-ordinate studio and talent for the recording using Media and Performance and Audio Production students in our Media City facility. Read here about the project in more detail.
